François-Régis Montazel

CEO, Managing Director and Co-founder

François-Régis is CEO, managing director, and co-founder of Spirit Asset Management. He is a member of its Board of Directors.

Previously, François-Régis served as Chief Executive Officer of EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. from its inception in 2006 (banking license received in January 2006) until December 31, 2014. He led a team of around 100 employees, entirely dedicated to private banking for international UHNW clients.

Before joining EFG, François-Régis worked at PWC and Deloitte as a tax advisor.

François-Régis holds a Master’s degree in law from Paris XII University. He is also a graduate of the Paris II-Assas Institute of Business Law and ESSEC Business School, where he obtained a specialized Master’s degree in International Business Law and Management.

Caroline Quéré

Managing Director
and Chief Compliance Risk Officer

Caroline is Managing Director and Chief Compliance Risk Officer at Spirit Asset Management. She has been working in the financial services and wealth management industry for over 15 years. Caroline is a member of the Authorized Management and the Board of Directors.

Previously, she worked for several international financial institutions, including Credit Suisse in France, where she headed the Risk and Compliance departments for Private Banking and Investment Banking, also overseeing risk management for Western Europe. She also worked at EFG Bank in France as Head of Risk and Compliance for Private Banking and Asset Management, and at BNP Paribas Luxembourg, where she was involved in the Compliance department for International Wealth Management activities.

Caroline holds a Master II degree in Business Law and Taxation from the University of Paris-Assas and is a graduate of ESSEC Business School, where she obtained a Specialized Master’s degree in International Business Law and Management.

Cyrus Wardjawand

Client Relationship Officer Asset Manager Member of the Board of Directors

Cyrus has been working in private banking in Luxembourg for 30 years, specializing in wealth management and financial advisory services.
He began his career in 1987 at DZ Bank Luxembourg, which he left in 1998 with the status of authorized signatory to join Banca Del Gottardo as Senior Vice President. He subsequently held the same position at EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., which he joined in 2007.

On December 31, 2014, he left EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. to participate in the launch of Spirit Asset Management. In addition to serving as Senior Vice President for private client advisory and wealth management, Cyrus is also a member of our Board of Directors.

Pierre Ruhl

Client Relationship Officer, Partner

Pierre joined Spirit Asset Management in September 2021 as a partner.
He has spent his entire career in banking and worked for 17 years for the Edmond de Rothschild Europe group, successively holding the positions of Senior Private Banker, Head of the French Market, Head of the Europe Desk, and member of the Executive Committee.

Pierre has solid expertise in advising, structuring, and implementing tailor-made management solutions for wealthy private clients and institutions.

He holds a Master II degree in Bancassurance and Wealth Management from the University of Clermont Ferrand.

Ulf Mennenkamp

Client Relationship Officer Asset Manager

Ulf joined Spirit Asset Management as Senior Vice President when it was founded.
Prior to that, he worked in private banking and asset management for over 25 years at three different financial institutions in Germany and Luxembourg, where he provided wealth management solutions and tailor-made services to an international clientele.

Ulf is a member of the fund investment committee.

Guido Berresheim

Client Relationship Officer, Asset Manager

Guido joined Spirit Asset Management when it was founded as Senior Vice President. Guido has been working in asset management for over 23 years, providing advisory and wealth management services to private clients.
Previously, he worked for three different private banks, all in Luxembourg.

He launched the Ganador Spirit Invest fund with his colleagues in 2007, while working at EFG Bank (Luxembourg) S.A. Guido is a member of the fund’s investment committee.

Alexander Paulus

Client Relationship Officer, Asset Manager

Alexander joined Spirit Asset Management when it was founded as Senior Vice President.
For more than 24 years, he worked in private banking and asset management at four different banks, offering wealth management and tailor-made solutions to an international clientele.

Alexander is a member of the fund investment committee and is responsible for Asset Management.

Ilona Friedrich

Client Relationship Officer

Ilona has been working in private banking in Luxembourg for over 26 years.

Previously, she worked as a private banker at two major Swiss banks, providing a wide range of financial services to an international clientele.

Ilona joined Spirit Asset Management as Vice President when it was founded.

Franck Lortilloir

Client Relationship Manager

Franck joined Spirit Asset Management as First Vice President in September 2021.

He began his career at Crédit Agricole Ile de France as a Customer Advisor and then Wealth Management Advisor.

With this experience under his belt, he joined the Edmond de Rothschild Group in Luxembourg, where he spent 13 years at the heart of client relations, advising clients on wealth management issues (management profiles, structuring, life insurance, loans, etc.).

Thomas Veit
Senior Portfolio Manager

Thomas joined Spirit Asset Management in August 2021 as Senior Portfolio Manager.

Passionate about asset management, Thomas implements and manages tailor-made management solutions with expertise and a dynamic approach to bond management combined with differentiated management on the equity market.

Previously, he worked for seven years at Edmond de Rothschild Europe as a Portfolio Manager, during which time he developed a comprehensive and innovative range of bond management services for private and institutional clients.

Thomas graduated at the top of his class with a Master II degree in Financial Engineering and Market Finance from ISG Paris.

Benjamin Blanchet
Senior Portfolio et Asset Manager

Benjamin joined Spirit Asset Management in January 2024 as Senior Portfolio and Asset Manager.

He began his career in 2009 at Foyer, Luxembourg’s leading insurance company, as a manager of equity capital and technical reserves (corporate stocks and bonds).

From 2015 to 2017, he worked for Puilaetco Dewaay, coordinating the portfolio management of private mandates. Prior to Spirit AM, he was Head of Equity Thematics Investment at Indosuez Wealth Management, managing both UCITS equity funds (Article 8) and equity portfolios dedicated to private clients through a thematic approach.

Throughout his career, beyond his fundamental knowledge of equity markets, he has developed tools and expertise in quantitative and technical analysis.

Bertrand Dlugosz
Compliance & Risk Officer

Bertrand joined Spirit Asset Management in May 2022 as Compliance & Risk Officer.
He began his career at a Luxembourg-based asset management company managing several investment funds, before joining the Edmond de Rothschild Europe group as Operational Risk Officer for private banking.

Bertrand graduated from ISC Paris’s Grande École program with a Master II degree in market finance.

Nicolas Renié

Finance & Accounting Manager

Nicolas joined Spirit Asset Management in February 2024 as Finance & Accounting Manager.

He began his career in Luxembourg, working in the finance department at Arendt Services for three years. He then joined another fund and company administrator regulated by the Luxembourg authorities, again in the finance department. These experiences enabled him to understand the requirements of financial regulation in Luxembourg and to adapt to them.

Nicolas graduated from the University of Lorraine and holds a master’s degree in economic consulting and organizational control.

Alexandre Driutti
Portfolio Manager

Alexandre joined Spirit Asset Management in October 2023 as a Portfolio Manager.

He began his career in 2017 at EY Luxembourg as a consultant in Luxembourg, before joining EY Paris in 2020.

With a strong appetite for financial markets and asset management, Alexandre joined our fixed income management team, where he manages part of our discretionary portfolios and is a member of the investment committee for the Bond Macro Allocation fund.

Alexandre is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MBA from ESCP Business School and a Master II in Finance from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Management in Nancy.
